Just when you think it can rain no more, it does, but, and a crucial “but”, we are promised dry weather and high pressure from midweek next week. I hear Lower Floors caught 6 salmon on Friday, maybe more on Saturday before another deluge hit on Saturday afternoon, but an online score of 11 salmon for the week, most of those on the Whiteadder, means very little about salmon numbers, when anglers and boatmen have spent most of each day in the hut observing the torrent flowing past.
