Calum is a full time ghillie/boatman in charge of the Lower North Wark beat.
Calum’s passion for fly fishing started at a very young age. In 1989 he won the International Youth Fly Fishing Championship. On leaving school Calum started work at Castle Grant on the Spey and he trained as a ghillie for two years.
He then moved on to the Association Water at Grantown on a seasonal basis. In the winter months he went to New Zealand for various fishing opportunities and he had two trips to Canada.
In 2005 Calum won the Scottish Spey Casting Championship at the Scottish Game Fair. Calum started working at Wark in August 2005.
