The road leading to Fireburnmill farm is just off the junction of A698 (Coldstream to Kelso road on the north side (left bank) of the River Tweed) and A697 (Coldstream to Edinburgh road). When turning off the A698 the name of the farm can be seen clearly from the road.

The angler’s car park is close to the garden wall on the grass verge of the farmhouse at Fireburnmill, which is adjacent to the track leading to the river, where the boatman will meet tenants.
